The Fatima Class of 84 followed up it’s 20 year reunion in 2004 with it’s 25 year reunion in 2009. The theme this time around was “From Grey to Silver…Ever Marching On”
On Friday 3rd July the fellas got together in Santa Cruz to get reacquainted with each other and to catch up on old times. For some it was 25 years worth of catching up. The liming venue was one owned by classmate Davindra Maharaj so in a way the lime was kept ‘in the family’. The food was flowing, the alcohol was flowing even more, and the ole talk was…well…you know dem fellas. Pictures from the Boys Lime can be viewed here and on Facebook.
On Saturday 4th July the focus switched to the Tsunami Beach Club at Chaguaramas, adjacent to The Anchorage. A banner with the reunion logo, which was designed by the late Simon Farrell, was draped at the entrance to greet each incoming person, and disposable cameras were given to guests so that everybody could get involved and capture the night’s festivities from their perspective. Areas of Tsunami were transformed somewhat into different areas of Fatima College: School Hall, Sixth Form Block, School Yard, Cafeteria, TD Room and the Teachers Lounge (one of the Tsunami gazebos).
And not to be outdone by the reunion 5 years prior, each attendee was pleasantly surprised to be presented with a souvenir package which included a polo shirt, cap and mug, each of which had the reunion logo and theme on it. Pictures from the Tsunami Function can be viewed here and on Facebook.
